  • Speaker cable gauge selection table

    The following table shows the resulting damping factor, signal loss, attenuation and impedance for different loudspeaker cable lengths and gauges. The signal loss represents the power wasted on the cablem, while the attenuation is the reduction in sound pressure level.



    Results assume an amplifier damping factor of 400 at 8 ohm and have been rounded for ease of use.
