• CVS 1.0 in-ceiling loudspeakers from Tannoy

Tannoy has announced their CVS 1.0 series of in-ceiling loudspeakers, consisting of six models that are all available in semi-matte black or semi-matte white finishes. The series is the brand's most affordable to date, sitting below CMS (classic Tannoy's dual-concentrics) and CVS.

Each model has a powder coated aluminium mesh grille with dust protection. The drivers are mounted in a UV and weather resistant UL 94-V0 and 94-5VB ABS front with a plated steel fire can enclosures. In addition, each model has EN54-24 certification for detection and fire alarm systems, UL1480 certification for fire protected signalling systems and UL2043 certification for air-handling spaces.

The CVS 301 incorporates a 3" polypropylene full range driver with butyl rubber surround said to enhance durability.

The CVS 401, CVS 601 and CVS 801 have 4-, 6- and 8-inch coaxial polypropylene drivers, respectively, also with butyl rubber surround as well as ferrofluid cooled soft dome high-frequency drivers.

The CVS 801S in-ceiling subwoofer uses an 8" polypropylene long-excursion driver in a band-pass design that allows the use with other loudspeakers without the need for a crossover. The standard model can be used for low or high impedance system. A low-impedance only version (CVS 801S LZ) is also available for price-critical applications that do not use constant voltage.

    In addition:

    – Supplied in pairs complete with all mounting hardware
    – Mounting C-ring and ceiling tile rails included
    – Steel cover and strain relief clamping mechanism for fire rated cable
    – Transformer taps for 70/100-volt line systems or 8-ohm operation
