RDNet is RCF's management software suite for sound system engineers in both live or installed applications, thus far consisting of network management for RCF devices, a simplified line-array design tool and a monitoring platform. Version 4.0 has now been officially launched and it includes a measurement suite, cloud storage, a new interface design, and improved performance.
RDNet Measure is a 4-input Dual-Channel transfer function FFT Audio Analyzer able to measure Magnitude, Phase, RTA, Coherence, and Impulse response. Functions include spans from a delay finder, a multiple signal generator, and an integrated SPL meter/logger with calibration tools. Users do not need to own RCF equipment to use this Analyzer, but interested engineers will need to register at the RCF web site.
By connecting any computer to the Internet, users can access a complete set of audio tools for their RCF audio systems in the Cloud. Projects and measurements can be saved and recalled.
Newer devices such as DMA matrix amplifiers, VSA column arrays, and the new HD, HDL, and TT+ speakers are also now supported.
The interface improvements include high-contrast colors, new icons, and a more efficient workflow. Control for touchscreen devices has also been improved.
Following the new additions to the software, RCF is referring to RDNet as the “all-in-one solution for both touring and installed sound systems”.
