• Stem Audio adds speaker to the ecosystem

Acquired by Shure last December, Stem Audio has announced the Stem Speaker. It is a PoE+ powered, 9-inch external speaker, with three mounting options including ceiling-mounted, wall-mounted, and table-mounted.

It integrates with the Stem Audio ecosystem of networked devices that can be easily managed on the Stem Audio ecosystem platform. Volume can also be manually controlled via physical volume up and down buttons on the unit. The Stem Audio ecosystem supports up to 10 audio endpoints per room.

There is also a LED light ring, as shown in the picture. It shows device functions including pinging, adapting, mute (when part of a room ecosystem), and more.

“With the release of Stem Speaker, customers have a new device to mix and match so they customize any room exactly the way they want it,” said Jacob Marash, Managing Director of Stem Audio at Shure. “It’s a monumental first addition to the ecosystem with many more to come”.

Speaker is the sixth device available in Stem’s ecosystem and is available for pre-order directly at stemaudio.com or through a network of IT resellers or AV integration partners.
