• Mackie updates and expands Thump speaker series

Mackie launches an update to its Thump loudspeaker series, including changes to the existing models and the new ThumpXT with additional features (similar to the 'BST' boosted models launched in 2017).

"We've re-designed Thump from the ground up, giving musicians and venues the best in both quality, experience, and affordability. For weddings, clubs, patio performances, and everything in between - This is honestly the most powerful, best-sounding, and fullest featured generation of Thump that Mackie has ever produced.” says Matt Redmon, Director of Product Marketing at Mackie.

Combined peak power is now stated to be 1400W Class D, which corresponds to 1200W for the lows and 200W, which translate to calculated max SPLs at 1m of 128 dB SPL for the 12" 2-way model and 129 dB for the 15". A ferrite magnet driver, is used for the LF, HF using Neodymium.

Available in both Thump and ThumpXT options is built-in 'Feedback Eliminator' in addition to a music ducking mode.

The new ThumpXT tacks on extra capabilities with venue-specific voicing modes and supplementary controls via the Thump Connect 2 App.

Within the companion app, you can access system EQ, levels, mutes, voicing modes and well as Bluetooth streaming and control.

For connectivity, the Thump Series utilizes dual TRS/XLR inputs and a stereo 1/8” aux input.

Thump Series subwoofers (Thump115S and Thump118S) with 33Hz - 200Hz frequency response and up to 133dB to can be added for low frequency expansion. As the most compact Thump Series subwoofer ever, the ergonomic Thump115S simplifies transport without sacrificing power, according to Mackie.

    Thump212 - $399.99
    Thump212XT - $449.99
    Thump215 - $449.99
