• Fyne Audio announces strategic partnership with AtlasIED

Fyne Audio, which sprouted from the ashes of Tannoy's Glasgow operations after TC Group's purchase by Behringer Group, has established a strategic partnership and investment from US commercial audio brand AtlasIED, to bring Fyne’s IsoFlare point source driver technology (not far from an updated version of Tannoy's coaxials) to commercial loudspeakers.

The partnership is meant to accelerate Fyne's growth into the Commercial premium audio markets and combines AtlasIED’s expertise in integrated commercial installation solutions with Fyne Audio’s transducer technologies to open broader market opportunities for both companies.

Founded in 2017, Fyne Audio’s design, production and senior management team is said to share over 200 years of combined experience in point-source [Note: 'point-source' kind of just means 'non-linearray' these days, lads] loudspeaker driver technology. The company’s IsoFlare™ constant directivity driver features coincidentally aligned mid-bass and tweeter sections.

AtlasIED is one of the industry’s largest manufacturers of diverse commercial audio ecosystems. The company’s Atmosphere audio platform for commercial applications combines digital audio processors, amplifiers, graphical user interfaces, programming software, and controls for applications including restaurants, bars, hotels, houses of worship, and retail establishments.

“This significant investment from AtlasIED and the creation of the Strategic Technology Collaboration partnership has secured our Residential roadmap and accelerated all our product development, particularly in the Commercial and CI markets. We now have an exciting opportunity to reach and delight even more customers in new markets with our Fyne Audio technology”, says Anji Sosna, Fyne Audio Managing Director.

Matt Czyzewski, AtlasIED executive vice-president comments: “When we started looking at premium solutions for the commercial audio our team knew they wanted to harness the advantages of point source technology and began a collaboration with Fyne Audio,” John Ivey, President of AtlasIED continues, “Our long-term commitment to the company and the technology was further demonstrated by making a significant investment in Fyne Audio and establishing a collaborative partnership.”
