• Audio-Technica launches Hypercardioid dynamic microphone ATS99

    Audio-Technica has introduced its ATS99 high-end handheld hypercardioid dynamic microphone for live vocal use. According to the brand, the new microphone has been designed to offer excellent responsiveness and fast transient delivery, with especially enhanced bass and midrange pickup at high volume.

    The combination of the ATS99's high-power magnet and step-up transformer with a hypercardioid capsule improves behaviour against unwanted noise and resistance to feedback, even in difficult live performance situations, according to Audio-Technica.

    The microphone features an internal shockmount structure which helps to reduce handling noise, and the machined aluminium body is designed to be lightweight and easy to hold.
