MA32/D² 32-channel amplifier from Innosonix

It is not everyday one comes across a 32-channel power amplifier. That is the case of the MA32/D², made by German multi-channel amplifier specialist Innosonix and targeting retail, residential, hospitality, theme parks, commercial AV, marine and immersive applications.

A primary member of the D² range of digital multi-channel amplifiers, the MA32/D² is said to be unlike anything currently available on the market today, providing 32 channels of 280 Watts @ 4 ohm per channel in a 2U size. The company also makes a 1U power amplifier with 32x100W channels.

Each channel of the device features industry leading DSP which includes 32 Point EQ, 2048 tabs of FIR filter, a delay capable of delaying up to 48000 Samples, 330m or 1000ms, current limiter, two stages of voltage limiting and power limiting. Auto standby mode brings the channels idle consumption down from 96 watts to 32 watts.

The device's I/O in combination with its other DSP features make the D² a digital matrix mixer. Inputs are via AES3, Dante or MADI, while outputs use Euroblock connectors.
