Sound Barrier CORE103P line array element

Sound Barrier launched the passive CORE103P dual 10-inch three-way full-range line array module at the recent NAMM show.

The LF section uses two 10-inch transducers with 3-inch coils, while the mid-frequency section utilizes two 6.5-inch transducers with 2-inch voice coils, providing up to 104dB/ 1 W/1 M sensitivity. Lastly, the high-frequency section makes use of dual 1.4-inch exit compression drivers with 2.5-inch voice coils and titanium diaphragm coupled to a wave guide. Neodymium magnets are used for all of the transducer complement. Sensitivity is 109dB 1W/1m, while maximum SPL is 140dB peak.

The plywood cabinet is equipped with a steel and aluminum alloy rigging system that allows for a splay angle adjustment from 0° to 10°.

    Specifications:
    - Frequency response: 35 Hz-19 kHz (-3 dB)
    - Coverage angles: 100° (Horizontal), 10° (Vertical)
    - Max SPL:
LF: 127 dB Continuous, 133 dB Peak
MF: 130 dB Continuous, 135 dB Peak
HF: 134 dB Continuous, 140 dB Peak
    - Sensitivity (1W/1m): 98 dB, 106 dB, 109 dB (LF, MF, HF)
    - Nominal impedance: 2x8Ω, 16Ω, 16Ω (LF, MF, HF)
    - RMS power handling: 600W/600W/240W (LF, MF, HF)
    - I/O connectors: waterproof PLT 8-pin
    - Recommended x-over frequencies: 400hz, 1.2khz
    - Dimensions: 820 mm (32.3") x 400mm (15.8") x 308 mm (12.1) WxDxH
